When to start your Ramadan campaign: a practical timeline

Merchants who start a week before Ramadan pay double per click and run out of stock in the last ten nights. Here’s a timeline that starts two months out.

Ramadan is Saudi Arabia’s biggest season for many categories: home and serving, dates and coffee, jalabiyas and abayas, then Eid outfits. But the season is won before it starts.

Eight weeks out: stock

  • Review last Ramadan’s sales and list your top 20 products.
  • Order stock now. Factories need weeks, and sea freight and clearance take longer before seasons.
  • Prepare Ramadan product images early — the image prep tool standardises them in minutes.

Six weeks out: the store

  • Create a Ramadan category and an offers landing page.
  • Build ready-made bundles and baskets: they outsell single items and lift basket size.
  • Publish a clear pre-Eid delivery policy — the policy generator helps.

Three weeks out: ads

  • Start audience-building ads on a small budget: short videos, “get your home Ramadan-ready”.
  • Clicks are far cheaper now than in the final week.
  • Work out your max cost per order in the profitable ads calculator before scaling.

During the month: three waves

  1. Week one: suhoor, iftar and serving needs.
  2. Mid-month: gifts, hosting and gatherings.
  3. Last ten nights: Eid outfits, perfume and Eidiya — with a clear “last delivery date before Eid”.

Lessons from experience

  • Peak hours run from after Taraweeh to suhoor. Schedule ads and messages around them.
  • Payday (the 27th) inside Ramadan lifts sales noticeably — plan an offer.
  • Save time with ready-made copy: season messages.
